  • Does IPL hair removal hurt?

    Unlike laser hair removal, IPL or intense pulsed light hair removal is generally considered to be much safer and less painful. This is because IPL uses a multi-spectrum bulb vs a single-wavelength laser. You may feel a slight tingle in sensitive areas during treatment, but it should not be painful.

  • How do I know if my skin tone is compatible with the Device?

    On the basis of Fitzpatrick Photo typing Scale, the effect is different according to skin tone. It's best for skin tone: White, Ivory, Beige, Light Brown, Brown, except the Dark Brown. And it is not suitable for red, white, gray and light color hair.

  • How many flashes does it offer?

    The valid maximum pulse counter of the device is up to 500,000 times.

    When the remaining pulse counter of the device shows '000000', it means that the device has reaches the end of its service life. In this case, you need to replace and purchase a new one, and you can go to your local provider or direct contact the manufacturer.

  • How do I use the IPL device?

    1. Prepare Your Skin
    Use the included razor to shave any hairs longer than 2 mm (1/16 in) in the treatment area. Make sure your skin is completely dry before applying the device.

    2. Select Mode Connect the power cord to the adapter, and insert the plug into a power outlet. Short press the On/Off button to turn on the device. Goggle up to protect your eyes. Press and hold the Round button for 2 to 3 seconds to enable Smart mode.

    3. Start the Treatment Place the light outlet flush against the skin to be treated and at a 90-degree angle. After hair removal is complete, press and hold the On/Off button for 1 to 2 seconds to turn off the device.

  • Do I need to shave clean before treatment?

    Yes, we recommend that you shave the treatment area before using your handset. Shaving the hair to the appropriate length will help IPL effectively focus on the hair follicles. Prior to use, make sure your skin is in good condition without any injury and wound, as well as your skin is shaved, clean and dry (free of any residue such as powders, creams, makeup, antiperspirants, or deodorants).

  • How often should I use MimiSilk IPL Hair Removal Device?

    We recommend using the handset three times a week for the first month to achieve the best results. After that, you can use it once every two weeks or once a month for touch-ups as needed.

    Additionally, we suggest making adjustments based on your hair growth. If you notice thicker hair or stubborn areas, you can increase the intensity level and frequency of usage. However, it's important to monitor your skin's reaction and adjust accordingly to avoid any discomfort or adverse effects.

  • Why do I need to stick with it for at least a year?

    Our hair grows in stages (anagen, telogen and catagen phases). About 10% of your hair in actively attached to the root (anagen phase) when you come in for a treatment and that is the hair we are able to effectively remove during that session. Following the treatment, 2-3 weeks later, you may notice all the hairs falling then some patches growing back. The hair regrowth is the hair that was not actively attached at the root and we will then remove during our next session. This is why it requires more than one or two treatments.

  • What areas does Label IPL Hair Removal Device treat?

    You can use your handset on most parts of your body where unwanted hair tends to occur, including your arms, underarms, hands, legs, chin, neck, back, and bikini line. But please do not use around the eyes, use only below cheekbones.

    To prevent discomfort, we advise treating the bikini area, inner thighs, and buttocks on the lowest intensity level, as the skin in these areas can be more sensitive.

  • Can I use it on sensitive area?

    Yes. When using in sensitive areas, we advise taking particular care for your safety:
    1. Start with the lowest setting;
    2. Patch test before a full application;
    3. Avoid overlapping in one session;

  • What is the suitable age range for IPL hair removal?

    DO NOT use if you are under the age of 18. The effects of using the system in this age group are unknown. Some follicles may mature earlier, so the decision to use IPL should be based on individual circumstances. We advise anyone under 18 to seek parental approval or consult a specialist, such as a cosmetician or dermatologist, before using our products.

  • What should I do after the treatment?

    For 24 hours after IPL treatment, we recommend avoiding exposure to artificial light sources (tanning booth, solarium) and activities or skin products that may irritate your skin. Use sunscreen SPF15 when treated areas may be exposed to sun.

  • How quickly can I see the results?

    You'll start to see results in as soon as 2-3 weeks, however, we recommend weekly treatments for 12 weeks to achieve optimal results. Once you've completed the 12 weeks, we recommend monthly maintenance treatments.

  • Is IPL hair removal the permanent solution?

    You should see up to 80% hair removal following the scheduled treatment plan. When using your device, you are destroying hair follicles that are currently in the 'anagen' hair growth phase. It is possible that hairs that were not in the 'anagen' phase during treatment will still grow. This is why we recommend doing maintenance treatment once every 1-2 months as needed.

  • How can I achieve softer results with hair reduction and not complete removal?

    By using less frequently and a softer mode.

    It works effectively on the upper lip, chin and jawline. We recommend doing a patch test before use. It shouldn't be used near the eyes and along the forehead.

  • Are there any side effects?

  • How do I clean my handset?

    To clean your handset, first disconnect the device from the electricity supply. Then, wipe the device down with a clean, dry cloth and 70% alcohol. (Don't use acetone or other abrasive fluids – they may damage your handset.) Then, use a dry cloth or paper towel to dry the device.

  • How long will it take for my order to arrive?

  • How long does it take for me to get my refund?

    Once our team receives and inspects your returned product, our accounting team will initiate your refund within 5–10 business days.   • What is your return process?

    1. Contact us: Contact us and provide your name, order number, the item for exchange or return, photos of the return item, and reasons for your return. Then, we will send you a printable shipping label with instructions. It contains our return address and basic information about your returned order.

    2. Print the return label: Pack your return item(s) properly into the original box, and glue the return label we provided outside the box.

    3. Take the package to a post office near you: Send item(s) back to us through the local post office. If you are in urgent need of handling the returned parcels, please contact us and provide a tracking number for the returned parcels.
